Ordered the Canon printer as a christmas gift for my girlfrined. When I received the printer, it was still in the original manufactures box that you would get from a office depot if you had bought it from the store. The box’s outside was beat up, and generally trashed. Also it had rained that day, so when I got home from work I found the box at my front door and it was also wet. When Christmas came we tried it out, the fax machine part of the all in one printer did not work. After several attempts with the Canon service reps, we are supposedly getting a new printer in the mail. Hopefully it will not be received in a wet damaged box,and broken. Who’s at fault for the broken printer? Is it Amazon, Canon, or UPS who delievered the printer???? You decide!

After only 2 weeks of using the Canon printer, it completely lost all power. I will not buy another Canon printer.

I bought this to update an old HP. I was very impressed by the reviews. After unpacking it and loading up the software I went to print. It kept insisting that there was no paper in the machine. I removed the paper tray and turned the machine over to see if something was taped up; the hinges for the top of the unit became unhinged. I packed it up and sent it back.

Gave up my old HP 722 workhorse printer after 6 years of NO problems. Needed to upgrade to something that provided more speed. Nothing but problems right out of the box. It prints one or two sheets then stops and Service Error 5700 message pops up. Throughout the entire day I have to turn the printer off and back on again (it takes forever to reset). This piece of junk had great reviews and I just can’t understand why. Called Canon Customer Service and they told me that I had two choices. Send it back to them for a RE-CONDITIONED one, or take it to their area repair center. I paid full price for this sorry piece of useless electronics just 1 week ago and Canon wants to send a used one to replace it. DO YOURSELF A BIG FAVOR AND DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT I MADE. BUY AN HP OR ANOTHER BRAND. DON’T BUY THIS CANON PRODUCT.

We have recently purchased the Canon PIXMA MP830 Office All-In-One Printer and we are extremely happy with the quality of the printer. We have not used the scanner or the fax machine yet, but I am sure we will be happy once we do. I recommend it!
